My passion as a guitar maker comes from a life-long obsession with making things. From a young age I have always tried to manipulate objects and materials in order to create something entirely different. I find that working with wood is a way for me to connect with nature. The simple act of shaping wood to make something functional or beautiful brings me endless satisfaction. I have been fortunate enough to sell my first few guitars to some very talented, wonderful musicians and seeing them perform their music on my instruments was an invigorating experience.

In my old wooden cabin up in the hills of south east London I make banjos, canjos, cigarbox guitars and other things that go twang. Every instrument is fully hand made in the traditional way with a minimal use of power tools and usually using reclaimed timber (that way i can use exotic hard woods and sleep well at night). So if you are interested in buying a high quality unique instrument keep checking here or contact me if you would like to commission something. email@example.com

At Nkuku (Nuh-ku-ku), we create beautifully handmade home and lifetsyle products. We work with artisans throughout the world, combining timeless design with natural materials. Whether it’s the makers’ distinctive style, the character of the piece, the inspiration behind its origins, there’s always more to tell than meets the eye. Every product has a story. The impact we have on the environment as a business, is an important consideration for us. The products we create are largely based on natural, sustainable and recycled materials made through a handmade process. We gather the waste leftover from other industries including; cotton from discarded t-shirts, leather, metals and glass as well as recycled saris. Recycling allows us to create new and beautiful products with less impact on our environment.

‘remarkable’ set out in 1996 to do some good, by recycling rubbish into products every body can use, and highlighting that the disposable packaging and waste we throw away, is reusable. The first products were recycled plastic cups remanufactured into pencils – to date over 500 million of them. The big break came with a Design Council award – ‘Millennium Product’, as a result ‘remarkable’ represented 1500 other companies in the Millennium Dome turning 3.75 million cups into pencils – Cool Britannia! This put the brand on a path of strength to develop a product range gaining awards –‘Invention of the Year’, ‘Environmental Company of the year’, ‘Recycled product of the Year’, ‘Outstanding services to Industry’ ‘Guinness World’ record and a few more.
