Adam Curtis Online (UK)
Adam Curtis Online showcases a special selection of textile products that have been designed, developed and produced within the UK by either ourselves or top UK designers. Although we prefer working with British Wool and supporting the British wool industry, other wools and fibres are sometimes used, more often than not to create something truly unique. We believe in only using the very best materials for the job and never use cheap fibre or questionable sources in our products. Country of origin is always clearly stated in item descriptions.

Angus Ross
We source our oak from an ancient woodland that we also manage, a few miles downstream from our workshop, on the banks of the River Tay. Our cool damp weather grows strong warm dark honey coloured timber full of wonderful character. The species is Quercus robur – the native oak of the UK. Be aware that ‘oak’ is a loose term like ‘beef’ and most ‘oak’ furniture available in the UK is not our native species.

Archer and Company
As an ethical business with a strong environmental conscience, Archer + Co manufactures it’s sofas and chairs locally, they use FSC certified timber and offer them in a range of natural British-made fabrics. All the sofas and chairs in the range can be made using almost 100% natural products for example, the sofas will be made using natural latex for padding rather than synthetic foams along with a unique combination of coir (coconut husk fibres) needled wool and cotton wadding. The upholstery fabrics can be organic wool, natural hemp or made from recycled yarns and the cushions are feather and duck down.

With us, however, beauty goes more than skin deep; wherever and whenever possible, we try to put sustainability and environmental wellbeing at the heart of what we do. nearly 20% of our dining and bedroom ranges made from reclaimed wood. Back in 2008, we were delighted to provide the funding and support needed to launch Trees4Trees who, for every tree used, plant an average of just over two more. That way, the forest carries on being a sustainable source of timber for generation after generation. On top of that, it’s breathed new life into the communities who sow, grow and harvest the trees.

Bee Palace (UK)
Solitary bees don’t swarm, sting or make honey so they don’t need any maintenance, just places to nest. While it can Itake up to 20,000 honey bees to pollinate an acre of apple orchard, it can take only 250 solitary bees. Made entirely in England by an artisan potter in Stoke-on-Trent, the beepalace is slip-cast in small batches and hand glazed. It is designed to be a focal point in a garden and to look attractive on its own or in group – just hang it on a wall or fence. Remember, solitary bees are docile and will nest close to humans. They very rarely use their weak sting and do not swarm. The nesting tubes inside the beepalace are made of cardboard and replicate the type of nesting places solitary bees seek out in nature.
