RENEW – the Resource Exchange Network for Eliminating Waste—is a materials-exchange network established by the Texas Legislature in 1987 to promote the reuse or recycling of industrial wastes. In 2007, the Zero Waste Network expanded RENEW to encompass the Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 6. RENEW is a marketing channel for industries, businesses, and governmental units that want to sell surplus materials, by-products, and wastes to users who will reclaim or reuse them. Find buyers of your waste, reducing your disposal costs. for example, a military base listed its surplus commodities – unused solvents and cleaners – and avoided expensive hazardous waste disposal fees. Increase your reuse and recycling, thereby decreasing the demand for raw materials and reducing your material input costs. Search online to find a buyer of your wastes or a supplier of materials quickly and easily.
