Charge anywhere: One of the common reasons why people are hesitant to switch to an electric car is the thought of running out of battery. But thanks to a growing network of public chargers, innovative home charging solutions, and many workplaces offering charge points, this should not be a concern. Discover the many options you have to keep your car charged wherever you are. Home charging: Charging your car at home is as easy as charging your phone or laptop. In fact, if you only use your electric car to travel short distances, chances are you may never need to use a public charging station. Similar to when you plug in your phone, the battery will charge quickest up to 80%, and then slow down until it reaches full charge to protect its longevity. Three-pin plug: You can plug your car into charge using a regular three-pin domestic socket. Domestic plugs run at 2.3kW and will fully charge a ŠKODA CITIGOe iV in just over 16 hours and a ŠKODA SUPERB iV in around five hours from 0% to 100%. Home wall-box: For faster charging we recommend installing a specialised wall-box, provided you have access to off-street parking. Wall-boxes are more powerful than a domestic socket and will charge a CITIGOe iV in 5.5 hours. The SUPERB iV charges in just 3.5 hours via a wall-box.
